We have been following Arizona’s own Rock Lobster for years and in our opinion they are hands down the best 80’s cover band in Arizona! They have mastered a catalog of hits from Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” to The Buggles “Video Killed the Radio Star” to Cyndi Lauper’s “Girl’s Just Want to Have Fun” and a litany of other classics.
Rock Lobster consists of Jessica Jackson Colby (vocals, keyboards, violin) Dallan Baumgarten (vocals, lead guitar), John Colby (vocals, bass), and Gary Sanchez (vocals, drums). Each of these musicians could hold their own as a soloist but together are a tight band with a sound that can only be honed from years of performing.
The crowds at Rock Lobster’s show waste no time jumping to their feet and spend the night dancing and singing along with the band. The concerts are always high energy and the band banters with the crowd nicely and makes sure everyone has a great time.
